Basic Information

Currently London’s number two airport after Heathrow, Gatwick Airport (LGW) is just 48 km / 30 miles south of the centre of London, in West Sussex. Close to both Crawley and Horley, London Gatwick Airport features just one runway, which serves more than 35 million passengers annually and around 200 different world-wide destinations.

London Gatwick Airport is amongst the busiest and largest single-runway airports in Europe, with almost 300,000 aircraft movements each year. Gatwick’s two terminals are known as the North and South terminals and are home to many major airlines, such as British Airways, First Choice Airways, easy Jet, Monarch Airlines, Thomson fly and Virgin Atlantic.
